To celebrate The Alice’s first year, we would like to invite anyone and everyone to bring one piece of art to exhibit. We will be showing everyone’s work as a large salon-style exhibition.
This exhibition idea was inspired by the Itsa Small, Small World, by Jayson Musson (Hennessy Youngman) an artist that had an online art video project called ART THOGHTZ. Jayson created this drop-off style exhibition as a way to address the “lack the face-to-face contact that is available with other forms of art production and exhibition.” At The Alice, we get to see and speak to a lot of artists face-to-face, but we would like to extend our welcome to more of you and would like to thank those of you that have supported us this year.
You do not have to be an “artist” to participate in this exhibition! You can bring a piece that you are really excited to show, a piece you are trying to get out of your studio or the first thing you ever made. We will show one piece per person.
Once the work is hung we are commissioning artist and draftsperson Kelly Bjork to draw a map of the space so that viewers can see who the artists are in an easy and accessible way. Prices, names and titles will be featured on the map. We will also upload the map to our website so that people can see what is for sale and what has been sold.
*Artists will receive 80% of their sales
*Please bring work ready to hang or it will be sitting on the floor.
*Please bring a pedestal if your work is a sculpture.
*We will be hanging your work.
Drop off days and times:
December 5th, Saturday: 12-5pm
December 6th, Sunday: 2-6pm
December 8th, Tuesday: 6-9pm
December 9th, Wednesday: 6-9pm
