We invite anyone and everyone to bring one piece of art to exhibit in Everyone's Floored at The Alice. Continuing an annual tradition, we will exhibit everyone’s work in a large wunderkammer-style exhibition that will run from December 8 - January 19.
You do not have to be an "artist” to participate in this exhibition! You can bring a piece that you are really excited to show, a piece you are trying to get out of your studio, or the first thing you ever made. You can be a collective, a designer, a crafter, a carpenter, a musician, or something else entirely. Once the work is installed, a local artist will draw a map of the space so each exhibitor and artwork can be identified.
In 2015, we hung everyone's work in a salon-style exhibition. In 2016, we treated all work as three-dimensional, and exhibited it on a long table that ran the length of the entire gallery. In 2017, we set the prices of all artwork at $50. In 2018, we are presenting all the work on the floor for Everyone’s Floored. Sales will be split 50/50 between The Alice and the exhibitor of each sold work.
There is no fee to exhibit in Everyone’s Floored:
Our annual Everyone’s In series is inspired by Itsa Small, Small World, by Jayson Musson (Hennessy Youngman) an artist that had an online art video project called ART THOGHTZ. Jayson created this drop-off style exhibition as a way to address the “lack the face-to-face contact that is available with other forms of art production and exhibition.” We also give a nod to the Brucennial, a community biennial that was organized in NYC by Bruce High Quality Foundation from 2008-2014. At The Alice, we meet many artists face-to-face, and we would like to extend our welcome to more of you and to thank those of you that have supported us in our four years.
Open Saturdays 12-7pm or by appointment

- We are asking that the artwork you bring in is around 12" x 12" x 12" so that EVERYONE can fit in our small space!
- Exhibitors will receive 50% of their sales, the other 50% goes to The Alice.
- Each exhibitor may exhibit ONE piece.
- If your work is a multiple/edition you may sell as many instances as you would like, but we can only guarantee the display of one physical item at a time. Please bring all for-sale copies of your edition to The Alice at drop-off.
- You may bring work in any format. 3D work, framed work, flat work, paintings, drawings, photographs, self-contained digital devices or audio players, textiles, publications, etc. are all welcome but remember they will be ON THE FLOOR!
- The Alice is not climate-controlled. We are locked using standard, commercial door locks. Your work will not be insured while it is in possession of The Alice.
- The Alice reserves the right to reject work for any reason, including but not limited to size (too big to fit in gallery), content, or technical concerns (smell, decay, off-gassing, etc.)
- People of all ages are welcome to exhibit. We cannot guarantee that all exhibit content will be all-ages appropriate.
- Artists are responsible for timely pickup of unsold work during the specified days/times. Unclaimed artwork may be handled at the discretion of The Alice.
- The Alice is unable to receive or return shipped submissions. Exhibitors outside the Seattle area must independently arrange a local representative to deliver and pick up in person during our scheduled days/times.
